LIBRARY INFORMATION:

The College Library was established at the very inception of the Institution. The library is located in the ground floor with separated reading room for students and teachers. The Library is well ventilated, lighted and aired to facilitate comfortable seating. The Library is fully computerized allowing functions like issue, return, OPAC search, and availability assessment of books, easy and user friendly. We have bar-coded our document collections.

Our college library contains a rich collection of more than 44000 books, 23 journal/Magazine, 3 Daily News papers, 2 Employment oriented Newspapers.

Our library subscribe 2 digital database one from N-LIST (UGC-INFONET Digital Library Consortium, INFLIBNET Centre and the INDEST-AICTE Consortium, IT Delhi) and NDL (National Digital Library IIT Kharagpur). Library books are well stacked in accordance with Dewey Decimal Classification System. Library Membership is offered to the current students and staff of the college.

Library Membership :

 The membership of the library is open to Faculty Members (such as Full- Time, SACT Teachers, Non-Teaching Staffs and Casual Staffs) and Students (Such as Masters Degree Students, B.A / B.Sc Honours/Pass Students). Without these categories nobody can’t use the library i.e. borrowing books and nobody give any kind of permission for using library.

The Central Library provides services to the students, staffs and faculty members of the college through an automated mode by using Library Management Software.

  1. All books are being bar-coded and only bar-coded books are available for circulations.
  2. Each shelf is accompanied with shelf guide, which indicate shelf number, class number (Using DDC), and subject concerned.
  3. Students are required to show their ID cards while entering the Library (in circulations counter and using reading room also), while borrowing books and at any time when requested by the library Staffs.
  4. Students are requested to leave their bags, handbags and personnel belongings etc. on the racks kept inside in the library. Do not bring & keep any valuables as the library will not be responsible for them.
  5. Renewals are allowed only when there is no claim by others. Members can renew issued book only 2 times.
  6. Reference Books, journals/magazines and CD/DVD’s will not be issued.
  7. Books lost by the borrowers will have to be reported immediately in writing to the librarian.
  8. All the students are required to strictly adhere that Sleeping, Eating and having refreshments of any kind will not be allowed inside the library.
  9. Use mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the students reading room.
  10. All the students are required to strictly adhere to the above regulations and cooperate with the library staffs for smooth and efficient functioning of the llibrary
